Here in California it is 3 but my son at 2 1/2 is ready for it (identifying colors, numbers and letters along with opposites, and memory of songs and objects)

Parent Answers to "Whay is the age requirement for Preschool in Atlanta?"

Most preschools in the Metro Atlanta area offer programs for children from anywhere from 12 months all the way through pre-k. In some schools for 2 and under it is call Parents Morning Out. I teach the young 2s in a preschool and it is considered preschool for all ages. I am required to turn in a detailed lesson plan and work on specific skills for the age group I teach. Just check with the schools you visit. So your child would be in a 2s class but still learning.
