Greatschools has a group for people interested in homeschooling, at community.greatschools.net/gro
You need to check into your states laws regarding homeschooling. You also might want to look into joining a homeschooling group. But you should really think about if you are qualified and motivated enough to homeschool. As the popular show has proven, most of us are not smarter than a 5th grader!
What ever your reasoning is the good thing is that there are online schools now. I would also try contacting the school to see if you can obtain the work and books while home schooling. The school board in Philadelphia has the cirriculum on the website for each grade. I wish that I had the support to quit my job and stay home to teach my child. That's the greatest!
