How old is your son/what grade? I'm surprised the school won't send a tutor just because your son isn't fully dressed; did they show you written guidelines that say that can't? It probably has to do with fears of potential child abuse accusations, and you might want to hire an advocate or special education attorney to see if there is a way around the problem. Does your son's doctor have any suggestions or can he tell you how other parents of his patients have dealt with similar issues, and is he working to lower your son's sensitivity/anxiety? When you say homeschooling isn't an option, is it because you don't feel comfortable teaching your son yourself? There are cyber (online) schooling options in many states, where they provide curriculum, and have teachers available for consultation, but it's still considered a type of homeschooling in that it's done out of your own home. Instead of having a "live tutor" in your home, it's via technology.

The computer wouldn't let me finish typing my concern. My son has already missed a full month of school because of this effect from his disability. When someone comes into the home, he is able to keep something over his lap. Because he isn't fully dressed, the school district hasn't been willing to send out a tutor. So he's getting no education at all. Any suggestions on how the school district themselves can still educate him? Home schooling isn't an option. He does have an IEP, but this issue hasn't been put into it yet.
