I am glad to hear that your child is no longer being bullied. How is he/she now doing emotionally and physically. What stopped the bulling?

For the benefit of other parents who may be reading this forum, what did you do that was able to help your son?
I'm not sure what you mean by "these kids aren't bullys" because picking on someone is a form of bullying, and beating up someone seems criminal, but I'm glad to hear that the situation has improved.

Do you have any idea why your son is being targeted? Is the bullying occurring during school, or elsewhere? All schools should have written disciplinary policies regarding bullying, which can usually be found in a parent handbook. You need to document what is happening in writing, and send a copy of your letter to the principal, to inform them about a lack of supervision if that's contributing to the problem. Your son should know how to seek adult intervention and safety if he feels threatened.
If your son is being physically beaten outside of school, you can contact the police. Without knowing the kind of neighborhood you live in, it's hard to guess if there are gang problems or something else going on.
Does your son have any friends he can associate with, since bullies tend to look for loners, but don't bother other groups of kids as much? Some kids may benefit from professional counseling to work on social interactions, and improve low self-esteem.
