Stayinformed, if you look at the top of the post, right above the yellow icon of the little glasses and the blue word "Watch," you can see if a post has been categorized locally. In this case, it's for Louisville, CO.
Unfortunately, since Greatschools is a nationwide forum, the chance of finding another person from the same town with a child of similar age and with similar needs at a particular school is slim. I have a child with special needs, and I know that a school might have a good reputation for kids with one kind of disability, but perhaps not with another. For example, in my area (not CO) there is one high school which has all kinds of building features making it easily accessible to students with physical impairments, but I'm not sure how they handle kids with ADHD. My advice is to contact a local support group for whatever kind of disabilities your child has (for example, www.chadd.org for ADHD, or www.interdys.org for dyslexia and reading problems, or www.autismspeaks.org for spectrum issues, etc.) and network through those families to find out about the best schools and other resources in a given area. For general questions and support, you might also like to join Greatschool's Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554
What state? What city? Each district may have a different approach to meeting the needs of children with disabilities. Pasadena, CA is horrible!
