HI. I'm not from VT, but I'm wondering if you can clarify whether you're seeking only a public school, or perhaps private? In many areas, G/T instruction doesn't begin in public schools until 3rd grade, but a good teacher can differentiate instruction at any point. There's a book by Susan Winebrenner called "Teaching Gifted Kids in the Regular Classroom" and I believe there is a similar book for teaching young gifted kids, although I don't have that author's name off the top of my head. You might also want to join Greatschool's Gifted Group at community.greatschools.net/gro
