Here's further thought into your question... I think there are many GREAT elementary schools in our KPS School District but, with the research and experiences I have had... I would select one of the following in this order and here's why:

1. MLK-Kingwestwood: Excellent administration and teaching staff that excels in working with the needs of it's population - terrific outreach and understanding of what is important and needed to serve the community.

2. Winchell-excellent staff, award-winning school but, it's hard to get into... Usually full enrollments... Great parent-involvement from what I understand and a warm, inviting learning environment.

3. Indian Prairie - based on comments and feedback of teachers and parents only...

4. Prairie Ridge - GREAT teachers and a new building that has state-of-the-art features to support and inspire kids in their everyday classrooms.

These are the four schools that I'm primarily connected to or have heard something about... Hopefully, that will be helpful when you make your considerations... you may also want to consider where your children will attend M.S. - there are some great schools but, I have already had an excellent experience at the new LGMS on Drake Rd.
