In many communities, where you live determines which public school your child is zoned to attend. A few communities have "school choice" or magnet schools, where they accept students from outside their normal boundary areas. You might ask her current school counselor which high school the students normally attend in your area. You can see a list of all schools in a given town by clicking on the "Find a School" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page, and entering your location and grade level. Public schools are rated from 1 (low) to 10 (high) based on how students performed on most recent statewide testing.
