What elementary school is the best within 10 minutes of Tripler/VA area?

Anonymous
I am relocating to Hawaii and don't want to spend 1 hour a day driving in traffic back and forth when I could be with my kids. I work full time 8-4pm. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Will you live at Tripler? Normally the school is depending on your district, or you would have to request a geographical exception (GE). Moanalua Elementary school is very nice and would be my choice because the middle school is right next to it, if you were to stay long enough in Hawaii to send your child there. Aliamanu Elementary is also nice, don't let the outside of the building fool you, the staff is very goal oriented and they are working well with the children.
Good luck on your move, and I hope you will enjoy Hawaii.

Hi. You can click on the "Find a School" feature on the green menu bar at the top of this page, and enter a location and grade level to see a map and list of all schools in a given area, and read parents comments about them.
I'm not from HI, but I know everyone's definition of "best" is different. Some people want schools that emphasize "the basics" like reading, writing, and math. Other parents prefer schools with a broader curriculum, that includes music, the arts, etc. Some parents appreciate private schools that emphasize morals and religious perspectives. Some parents want a school that offers before and aftercare, or extracurriculars like sports. Only you know what you value most.
