I'm not in KY, but I do have a child with other special needs. I'm afraid the chance of finding another person on Greatschools from the same town with a child who has similar issues, attending a particular school, is slim. I always recommend parents try to contact a local support group for the kind of issues their child faces, and network through them to find out about the best schools and other resources in a community. I think a good place for you to start might be www.thearc.org, www.thearc.org/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?&pid=306

The school is in Sonora,ky.Lo means little one; his name is Sean. Sean has speech disorder; he's 2 1/2 and doesn't talk and has sensory disorder where he scoots and hits his head against people or objects is the biggest concern when it comes to his sensory disorder. In march he'll be entering preschool. He's been in first steps since he was one.

Hello. Greatschools is a nationwide forum, and there are many schools named Creekside across the U.S. Where are you actually located? Also, I hope you don't mind my asking, but is your son's name Lo? We don't all use the same acronyms, so can you clarify what you mean, and what kind of learning disorders he has? How old is he? Is he entering kindergarten? When you say that you've been home with him 24/7, it sounds like he's never been in school before....did he ever get services on an IEP through "Child Find" for 3-5 year olds, or even before that if difficulties were apparent? We'll be happy to try to assist you, but more information is needed.
