These ratings are a part of the homes search on realtor.com. That means that the Great Schools ratings have an ability to effect home sales and home prices.

How are the components of a rating weighted? Is there a bias based on demographics? I'm seeing schools with similar test scores and teacher qualifications given widely divergent (3-6) ratings.

Please give me a more detailed analysis of the components in the ratings and the weight given to each component.

I'm not sure if anyone from Greatschools is working this holiday weekend, but to be sure they see your question when they return, you might want to send it directly to their attention. Go to the bottom of this page, where there's a woman's picture and it says, "Email the Community Moderator for help."
