I am considering taking a job in the North Kansas City area. I am concerned about my 4 yr old. In New York he

will be starting Kindergarten before we move. Will I be able to enroll him in Kindergarten in Missouri. He has an early October birthday at which time he willturn 5.

This link indicates when various state's cutoff dates are. In your case, it appears your son would need to wait a year to begin kindergarten.

Hi. I'm not from MO, but if you go to the "Find a School" feature on the green menu bar at the top of this page, you can enter a location and grade level (elementary) and see a list of all schools in a given area. You might contact the local Public School District and ask what their age-cut-off for Kdg. is; states vary as to their guidelines. If it seems your son misses the cut-off, you might contact some nearby private schools, as they often aren't as restrictive about birthdates.
