Looks like you are still looking for a tutor. I recommend checking out Wyzant.com. It's safe and a good resource.
If that doesn't work I definitely agree with checking with local colleges or talking to your child's teacher, maybe they know someone.
If you do end up finding someone through Wyzant, just let them know I refered you. Best wishes!
I do tutoring at my home. I am a certified teacher and can no longer teach full time. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me for an interview. I have a classroom setup in my yard and have students who come 4 days a week. You and your child will have to be interviewed and accepted into my program. But, I would be more than happy to speak with you.
We do tutoring, teaching, after school program, pick up student from school. Great teaching, help with writing skills, other subjects. Please contact to discuss further.
Hi TessBlair, and welcome to GreatSchools Parent Community. A few suggestions come to mind, depending on how significant the tutoring needs are.
Is it in one subject or several? Is your child suddenly behind or is this an ongoing issue?
If you contact your local community college and speak with their student employment office, they can post your job listing. Similarly, an advanced high school student might do the trick.
I'm sure others will weigh in and offer suggestions regarding testing or evaluations, so I'll leave it at that.
Good luck, and let us know how it's going.
