How to request for refund from the National Youth Scholar Program?

Anonymous
We've recently sent our son back to the program as an alumni. This is his second year with the program. However, this time he was not staying until the end of the program. He was released on the fourth day from the program’s nurse office after we strongly insisted that he was sick and should be seen by a doctor. He was running a fever and had been in and out of the nurse lounge for three days.

We are requesting a refund because we do not have a travel protection plan. We want to know if anyone has had a similar experience and what actions were taken and what were the results of those actions. We were told to submit the request in writing and the management will review it and get back with us.

We appreciate any advice in advance,

Unfortunately, I don't know of any Greatschools member who actually felt the National Young Scholars Program was worth the price, as evidenced by past discussions like this: community.greatschools.net/q-and-a/297180/National-Young-Scholars-Program-Good-or-Not-worth-it
Perhaps the National YOUTH Scholars Program is something different? I would hope that since your son was returning as an alumni, they would be more understanding (after all, you're the type of family they would probably like to use in their "sales" brochures, since you thought it WAS worthwhile trying to send your son again....)
