Pre-schooler moving to Kindergarten

maggie93215
My Son will be entering a new school. He has been in pre-school for 2 years and during those 2yrs. has also been in speech. Which has helped him alot. He will be moving this year to a new school so he can start kindergarten and he will definately need to continue on with his speech, but I was wondering if there is anything that I should or need to ask. Does the school automatically contact me about him going to speech and how long will his sessions be? Please parent let me know what I need to know?

Hi. Does your son currently have an IEP? If so, there should have been some kind of transition meeting between the people at his old school and those at his new school....Is your son still getting speech over the summer?
