I am a small town mom that moved to Pahrump two years ago. My son is starting 6th grade this year. There is a lot of bad talk about teachers and school administration of Nye County. Many parents will tell you rumors they hear from other uninvolved parents. I am a very involved parent. The lack of parent involvement in Pahrump is very sad. Teachers are not babysitters most of the parents here think they don’t need to be involved with their kid’s education so when parents talk bad about the schools I have to consider the source. Yes every school district has its problems but as long as you are involved then you will love the schools in Pahrump. The economy is in very sad shape and our schools are hurting because of it, as it is everywhere.
