Child With Dyslexia-Woodbridge Public School System

Anonymous
We are in the process of looking at moving to Woodbridge, VA from Michigan. My eleven year old boy has dyslexia and needs a great school support system/resource room teacher that can help him.. He is going into the 5th grade....can you tell me if Woodbridge can offer the support I need? Or should I be looking in other towns to live? I need to be near Lorton, VA for my job.
Thank you.

Hi. Your post caught my eye because there's a village called Woodbridge near me, in IL, and I have a son with dyslexia. Since Greatschools is a nationwide forum, I'm afraid the chance of finding another family from a particular town, with a child of similar age and with the same learning issues is slim.... My advice is to contact a local parent support group (www.interdys.org) in the area you plan to move to, and network through them to find out about the best schools and other resources.
For general questions, I also invite you to join us in the Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554
