Have you tried using the "Find a School" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page? You can enter a location and grade level, and see a list of all schools in a given area. Public ones are rated from 1 (low) to 10 (highest) based on how their students perform on statewide testing. If you find a school you're interested in, you can click on the school name to find out more details. Sometimes, even schools that don't rank very highly can have good programs for bright students, but their overall rank might be lower because there are a lot of transient families who live in the district... You might want to visit possible schools before you decide where to get your apartment or house.
