Parent Answers to "How good is Tushka's special education program?"

Hi. Unfortunately, Greatschools is a nationwide forum, and the chance of finding another family from the same town, with a child in a specific program at a particular school, is slim.
I have a son with special ed needs, and I know that it's difficult to say how "good" a program is, because no two children, even if they have a similar diagnosis, are the same. One student might do fine in a regular classroom with accommodations, while another student may need an aide, or do best in a self-contained environment.
My advice is to contact a local parent support group for whatever condition your child has (ie, www.chadd.org for ADHD, or www.interdys.org for dyslexia, or www.thearc.org for Downs and autism, etc.) and network through those local families to find out about the best schools and other resources in the community.
