I beleive that is the case in the majority of high schools in the W.U.H.S.D. The family incomes are very different. Unfortunatly with that come the issues are children become subject to. I agree that we need to raise our kids to be as level headed as possible. But most importantly not to place too much value on material things.
The lifestyles of their peers will certainly be different. Grant it they are known for their high academic, but they are also known for who is driving the best car, wearing the trendiest and most expensive clothes,etc. If you do not have the means, self esteem will be compromised. If your child is strong, has a good head on their shoulders and is definitely their own person, then hopefully things will work out. Just remember to keep communication going between you and your child. Communication/trust between you and your child will be your guide
Thanks socalgal,my kids get good grades,love life and friends,my youngest makes friends so easy and is a girly girl,my oldest is great in school,loves sports,is very good at basketball and not to menchin they are beautiful. just need to figure what issues will come about, if any.
