We will be attending Lewis Carroll Elementary. Any info about that school. I have 1 child going into 3rd and 1 going into 1st. 3rd grader is in gifted program and I think the 1st grader is above average (was bored in K) and always relates better to the older children.

First, where in Merritt Island. There are three elementary schools on the North side, one on the East, and one on the South. However, there is a school of choice which covers all areas.
If you have children that are extremely bright or not afraid to work hard; plus like the arts - then Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School of the Arts is for he/she. This school pushes children to be their best. Expect a lot of work, but not busy work. Volunteer hours are required at the school by parents and/or family members, and there are several ways to obtain hours. There is an application needed for the school and is located in East Merritt Island.

There is only one middle and high school without application. Edgewood Jr/Sr. HS is a school of choice and requires an application. They do not have a sports program, though they have intramurals.
