Academics is the priority but extra actvivities such as art, sports and music are also important.

Hi - Most elementary schools in north broward are "A"rated schools. Coconut creek has 4 of them. Coral Springs has some as well. Go to the browardschools.com website and look up school grades - they were just released last month. Also - sports programs for elementary age are usually done by city - not school. Go to your local community center to look up the sports - or you can look it up on the Cities website. If you have a son, Coral Springs has a great Cub scout pack - #360 or if you prefer a christian Cub Scout pack - there is Pack 208 from Calvary chapel. If you have a daughter - some of us parents are trying to start a girls scouting troop (most have to travel south for girl scouts).
Hope this helps!

Hi. I'm not from FL, but have you tried using the "Find a School" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page? You can enter a location and grade level, and see a list of all schools in a given area. Public ones are rated from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) based on how their students perform on statewide NCLB testing (in FL, it's the FCAT.) If you click on the individual school names in blue font, you can find out more details and read any parent comments that have been made. I hope this helps.
