We're looking for a new home (1st Time Home buyers) and we want to buy in a good school district while being close to my folks. Problem is the prices we can afford are in Berkeley Lake School District and I want to be in Simpson School District. I have read up on BLES and it just seems as if the school is going downhill while SES is continuing to exceed expectations. Also, I don't want the Elem School to impact the resale value of my house. Does anyone have any advice for me? I'm looking at a neighborhood called Avocet, which seems like a lovely neighborhood. The only problem is the the school district.
