Oh yeah, you might also want to post your question at the Flower City Parents Network forum. Many devoted city school parents can point you in the right direction.
ANY school worth its salt should be able to meet the needs of a child with ADHD (or other disability). However, that being said, some schools do a better job than others. If a child has a 504 Plan or IEP, the school should know what to do and you should be ready to jump in when they don't (speaking from personal experience - the suburban schools aren't always the answer). I'd look into Norman Howard or Hope Hall - these are two private schools in the area that focus on special needs students. Good luck!
Hi. I'm not from Rochester, but I have a child with ADHD. We're not sure of your child's age or grade level or if you're talking about public schools or private, but I'd like to recommend that you contact a local chapter of www.chadd.org and network through those parents to learn about the best schools and other resources in the Rochester area. Also, for online support, you might like to join the Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554
