Can I enroll my son into a preschool?

aventura1
Hi, I have a son Who is 4, and I want to enroll him in preschool,but.... He is having trouble getting potty trained due to a birth defect when he was born...(its a long story) It has been really frustrating for me and for him as well. Were getting there but, we are not there quite yet. He still has an accident once in a while.... My question is... Is there any school that will take him like that???? If anyone knows the answer please HELP ME!!!!!! I really want him to attend preschool. I do not want him to be behind.... I would really appreciate if anyone can help me with this.. Thanks

First of all, please don't worry about him being behind at 4 years old. You should contact a preschool that you are interested in and explain your situation. I would think that a co-operative school (one where parents work at the school once a week or so) might be better because you will be welcome there to help him. Our co-op in Hollywood accepted non-potty trained kids, it was something they worked on. My son was barely potty-trained at 3 1/2 and yes, there were accidents, but we all made it. Good luck to you!

I think they should since he has accidents sometimes but to be on the safe side you probably should call the school.
