Special Education

Anonymous
My son attends at Harbin Elementary, in Dacula, Ga. I did not know you have to fight for education. My son is in the fifth grade on an third grade grade academic level. I have requested for help for my son and was totally ignored. The big issuse is that my son don't know how to read, which we find out he does not know his decoding skill etc. If anyone has a special needs childs educate yourself because they would walk over your child education in the public school system just like mines. If ga. did not have the special needs schoralship I would be constantly fighting for my son education.

I am so incredibly sorry. My twin brother also had to go about 3 years before they finally decided to put him in Hooper Rennick School. The whole school is Special Education so its even more likely for your son to fine a buddy that's more like him.
They put my brother in the G.I.V.E center special ed,home school, and so many things before they put him in Hooper.
But if you go down to the school and tell them how much your son needs this school, there is a better chance that you'll get him in then calling or asking the school.
The school is in Lawrenceville,GA on 56 Neal Blvd.
Good Luck, and don't stop fighting for your son's education :D
