You might look into Keystone...it's specifically for gifted children. Also, there are some great magnet schools, such as NEISD's STEM Academy and KSAT program.
I would be happy to send you more information about St. Gregory the Great Catholic School which offers a rigorous middle school program that prepares students for private high school ...

Hi. I'm not from San Antonio, but I have a good teacher-friend who is moving there within a month. They've already purchased a new home. All of her kids are gifted, although a bit older than yours, however she seems to feel the public high schools are decent, and that's where she intends to enroll hers...Have you looked at the "Find a School" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page?
If you'd prefer private schools, my son attended a gifted school that was accredited by www.nais.org, and you might see if they've got anything in the San Antonio area.
Also, Greatschools has a gifted group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11537
