I would also recommend the Fort Mill area, in particular, Baxter Village. A little pricey but excellent schools, community events, walking trails, a cute town, YMCA, GS 10 rated Elementary school, a preschool, library, and church all located within walking distance.

if you have any questions, i'm from nj and education for my kids is what i'm all about, email me at appello99@yahoo.com. Regent park is a nice one too! However there are three sections to Regent Park, and even though the pool and clubhouse are massive, you have to go outside the development and accross the street to go there! i want my kids inside their own little town, just like in jersey, i knew my neighbors and they knew me, borrow a cup of sugar, no problem. If you have any questions about the Charlotte School systems, i've learned a lot, so please feel free to email me! All i did this year was research, research, and left no stone unturned, especially when it came to the school systems! i'm a snob, and i admit it!

ok, it's not in Charlotte, but 5 minutes away. It's not in NC, but SC, where taxes are a lot cheaper. It's a town called Fort Mill, which is where we will be living, my husband was transferred here a year ago, and we just closed on our house. Fort Mill, which i personally visited, has an extremely high rating, and all the parents i've talked to, which were many, love the school system. Coming from the North, education is my priority for my children, and there's a beautiful, absolutely beautiful community called Knightsbridge. It's like a little town in a developement, all the kids hang out at the huge clubhouse and everyone knows each other, there are christmas parties, halloween parties, you name it, it's everything you want for your children, you always know where they are, and all the parents inside knightsbridge knows your children. hope this helps, check it out. five minutes from Charlotte, on the skirts of NC, low low taxes, best school system in the state, and of course there are other developments inside fort mill, english trails, others too, low low low taxes, i'll take it!!!!
