Hi shorts!

In our school district in Southern California, because elementary schools are k-6, the 6th graders did a large research report on a foreign country in preparation for junior high school.

In addition, I remember as a 5th grader in the Los Angeles Unified School District doing almost the same type of project.

My daughter chose Israel and I chose Japan.

Is this the type of project you are referring to? If so, it seems to me that both Healthy (who doesn't live in California) and I have both experienced something similar.

Hi. Greatschools is a nationwide forum. Are you only asking about other students in schools in Jamaica, NY? Where I live (in another state) I haven't heard of an exit project report requirement, although my son did do a big written project in 5th grade Language Arts.
