Searching for elementary & middle schools with the ability/resources to teach gifted children.

Our daughter will be attending middle school next fall and is currently in the TAG program, but it is falling short of meeting her needs. Our son will be going into 1st grade next fall and we'd like to know of an elementary school with a GOOD TAG program leader.

If you're coming to Dallas, that's going to be an issue at the local public schools. However, if you have the ability to stay at home with your child, there is Oregon Connections Academy, a virtual online public school that I know offers the Gifted and Talented Program for every level. It's very customized to your child with a teacher and your role is "teaching coach" at home. There are a great number of options from there to keep your child socialized with local as well as kids from surrounding areas, doing sports, choir, and all variety of field trips. You can find them online for more information, and there are plenty of parents here locally that have been enrolled in this program for quite a while. Hope that helps you out! Good luck! =)

Hi. Unfortunately, Greatschools is a nationwide community and the chance of finding another family from the same town with children of similar age and with similar abilities is slim. You might try posting your question in the Gifted Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11537

i don't know were u live but in platsburgh i know momont elamentary school and stafford middle school. can tech gifted children wll sice ive been in their gifted program i kow alot about it.
