If a child does not have words/a good vocabulary to talk about what is bothering them, then it is natural for them to act out, scream, and try to express themselves in other ways. Please do have your child evaluated as soon as possible. And also join and start posting in Greatschools Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554 ~ more parents of children with learning issues will be able to help you and give you encouragement.

How old is your child? If the school district is willing to pay for an evaluation, I would start with that. You can always go for a "2nd opinion" privately later on. For more information and support, you also might want to join Greatschools Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554
