In most public schools, there is an age requirement of being 5 years old to start Kindergarten. Some private schools, such as Montessori, may not have the same restriction, but you do have to pay tuition for private programs.

How old is your child/what grade? Are you talking about chosing a public school or private? In most cases, where you live determines which public school your child is zoned to attend. You can check ratings of schools by going to the "Find a School" tab on the green menu bar near the top of this page, and entering your location and grade level, and seeing a list of all schools in a given area...public ones are rated from 1 (low ) to 10 (highest) based on how students perform on statewide testing, which for FL is the FCAT.
