Recommendations for good public special ed inclusion/mainstream programs along BART?

jaljeera
My family and I hope to move to the SF Bay Area in about a year. Our highest priority will be placing our daughter in a good public school. She has partial Down Syndrome, showing immense potential but still needing developmental therapy services (PT, OT, speech). Ideally, we'd like to have access to public transportation into SF as well. Can anyone vouch for a school district along BART which could be sensitive towards our daughter's potential for inclusion or mainstreaming?

HI. I'm not from San Fran, but there's a nationwide organization, www.thearc.org, which offers support and information to families dealing with conditions such as autism and Down's. I suggest contacting them and seeing if someone in California might be able to put you in touch with other local families and resources.
