No. Candeo is very different from the Montessori approach. Candeo uses the Core Knowledge Method. Which is a school curriculum developed by E. D. Hirsch, Jr. in 1986. The school curriculum is based on the premise that a grade-by-grade core of common learning is necessary to ensure a sound and fair elementary education. This approach is Teacher driven unlike Montessori which is directed by the individual student's interest.
