Hi I'm in Arlington now, Got here in June and the kids are going to register for Charlotte Anderson ( walking distance from home Praise the Lord) and Cross Timbers which is 8 mins away! I pray all goes well and that there will no problems. I selected them from the ratings I saw on this website and I feel comfortable with them already even though I haven't met anyone yet!

Hi sammibammy, and welcome to GreatSchools Parent Community. I'm not from Mansfield, TX, but your question is a common one.

I'd do some research on good schools in the area long before you get there. GreatSchools has all the information you'll need (parent reviews, test scores, etc) right here: www.greatschools.net/schools.page?district=647&state=TX

Then I'd talk to your realtor and have them help you narrow down your search into those neighborhoods that feed into those schools.

Just a heads up. It appears that Mansfield schools go Pre-K to 4th (elementary), 5-6 (intermediate), 7-8 (middle school), and 9-12 (high school).

Good luck and let us know what you find out!
