Help WITH THE BEST SCHOOLS IN LAWTON!!!

Hello,
I am gonna be moving to Ft. Sill OK, next month and my lil one is in the first grade. I am very picky about schools and I am trying to get some information on the best public or private schools near the base. I was told to move to the east side because it's best and safe, can anyone please help me with what to do here? what schools are known for best academics and staff? and whats the best location to live in? I really need some feedback because my daughter will be finishing first grade in Lawton, so please advise me if possible on the best schools.

Hi, I am a Kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary. Lincoln is a Nationally Distinguished Title I School and ranks the third highest for standardized tests in the state of Oklahoma. We have an absolutely fabulous school with much to offer. The school is located at 6th and park. Since we are a Title I School we receive additional Federal Funding. We have an outstanding Principal and Staff! I would encourage you to check out the school for yourself. We offer many wonderful programs!

I have been told by my son's PCM that Fletcher has excellent schools also. It always depends on your child's needs and wants.

I have lived in lawton ok for 3 years now and we are a military family, So far the advice you received is correct. The best elementary schools are Park lane, Carriage Hills, and Sullivan. Depending on your daughters needs I would choose one of these. They are in the east side of town. Call and speak with the principals of each school, you can get a good feel about which school is best for your daughter, then I would visit them all and see which one she feels the most comfortable in attending.

I also have a little one starting 1st grade in the Fall. We're actually looking NORTH of Lawton. The Elgin School District looks promising!!

We have been living in Lawton, on the east side, since 2006 and my daughter has attended Sullivan Village Elementary since then. She has really done well at this school, and I feel that the staff, overall, has been wonderful to work with. I think that the east side is really the best part of Lawton in terms of schools and quality of life. We will be moving from here soon, and will miss our neighbors and Sullivan Village.
