Hi Paula thanks for writing me back I did speak to the principal and other faculty members. I must say i do not like when people unnecessarily pick on my child. Any parent knows there child and my son is a leader at home, in his church. We keep all our children grounded based on love and moral ethics. I have to very stern this year with the facility members who could not see the gem they had in the midst of them. My son does not have behavioral problems. But any teacher who is a professional and has a masters degree should be able to discern what is in the heart of a child that if that heart is truly reached and touched with love and genuine affection they can change a child's ability to focus in the class room. My son passed and is going to Middle School. I have a beef with Educators who act like dictators and all they know how to do is quote policy, rules and regulations that in our dispensation does not apply for every student. So meantime'you may have to work one on one with a student to pull out their true talent. As a mother i have learned to raise children who will know how to lead one day and not be kept silent by anyone who plans on destroying their freedom to uphold truth and justice. i am so glad my it out of Longfellow elementary and moving on. But i want to encourage other parents. FIGHT FOR YOUR CHILDREN'S RIGHTS. Don't be afraid to confront the education system or any system that will try to override your parental policy, rules and regulations that govern your child. You know exactly who your child is and who he or she will be in the future. If the Board of Education can not fulfill their obligation to see that you child is safe, encouraged and educated shame on them.. Let them have it and SPEAK UP!!!! love one Happy MAMA

Your child should not have been left behind for behavioural problems. if he is doing well in school, they should find some other way to deal with any problems they THINK he might have. You should definately meet with the principal regarding this. Good luck!
