Beach Cites Child Development center has great academics, structure while still being fun learnig for the kids. They have a great way to keep the children interested and wanting more. All children are ready to enter first grade with at least the first three months under their belt. Some of the children are reading third grade level books, most are doing addition and subtraction. They also cover American Heroes and Legends, The environment, disaster preparedness, Past an modern day living, last year they cover briefly the election process. Every day the kids looked forward to going to class. It's great peace of mind for parents to see your kid happy to go to school.
They also have 2-4 special days a month like spirt day or teddy bear day or pajama day!

TUTOR TIME LEARNING CENTER IN TORRANCE HAS A GREAT KINDER. PROGRAM MY SON IS READING AND DOING 2 DIGIT MATH. HE'S ONLY 5. THE CLASS IS STRUCTURED AND THERE IS HOMEWORK DUE AT THE END OF EACH WEEK. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ACADEMICS THIS IS IT.
Beach Cities Child Development Center in Redondo Beach has a Great Private Kindergarten. The Kids are taught as a group but also recieve one one one help to help each and every child excell. Most children leave this class above and beyond what is expected of them for first grade. They cover so may subjects and it is a fun class. Best of All the class will have no more than 12. The last two years they had only 9 students. i believe they still have available space.

We love Riviera PlaySchool. It offers a montessori-style hands-on learning curriculum with a focus on math and literacy, has credentialed teachers who lead the program, and is set almost entirely outdoors so our child gets the best of both worlds! Riviera PlaySchool has a big focus on nature and living creatures - the children learn to build habitats and gardens, and they study all about the creatures they are taking care of, before releasing them "back to natue." The teachers even take the kids on nature hikes as a daily part of the program!
