I am also moving to Corpus in summer with a rising fourth grader.Try googling. There are many private schools there.-First baptist,St Patrick,St Pius, new hope baptist,Incarnate world.I am also wondering how to find out how good these schools are since they are not rated and most follow different testing systems.

Have you tried using the "Research and Compare" tab on the green menu bar near the top of this page? You can enter a location and grade level, and see what schools are in the area, both private and public.

They don't rate private schools (because the ratings are based on statewide public school TAKS testing) but you can at least see what other schools are around the area, and if you click on their names in blue, you can find out more details, read parent comments if there are any, etc.

They are in 3rd and 4th right now. We might be moving in the summer. They don't have any learning issues.
thanks !

What grade level is your child? Do they have any specific learning issues that you're trying to address? (ie, school for gifted students, school for dyslexic students, etc?)
