¡Hi Trooper! I have a new notice and want to share with you.My son came yesterday with a award, the principal gave to him because all the hard work so he did to change his scores and I'm happy for him because he's doing his best in the school. He's still having troubles but I'm keeping him motivated with the study and I'm seeing him more relieved and happy because all is more easy for him.

Hi Trooper! sorry for the wait.I have news for you,my husband and me went to the conference with my son's teacher and she sayed so my son was doing well but no too much like we want, she sayed so she feel ok with my son,he can understand what she say and she don't see problems with the language, only had problems with the math and the writting because he can writte but can't do it in a order form and all time she can't read what my son writte and I think is true because i'm feeling the same problem with him sometimes I can't understand what writte and the math's problems she say so he need more practice because they are learning to solve problems fast and is true too because he only do homework in my house and don't practice more.I'm going to put in practice all what she sayed.Thank you again for take your time with me.

yes - I am sorry for the confusion - English as a second language.
Please talk to the teacher. It sounds like your son would benefit from the support of ESL.
Let me know what happens!

Thank you trooper for help me ,but I'm still confussing because I don't know if you're talking about the ESL program or ESOL is another thing,I'm saying this because my son was in ESl program and helped to him to learn english, and he learned to read, writte and speak when he was kindergarden and first grade, now in grade 2,the school don't have the ESL program only bilingual and we can't inscribe him in bilingual, because he alredy learned all in english and he was going to start all again and all this was going to confusse him more and my husband and me decided to inscribe him with the regular class of english there are 18 children more and sometimes I think the teacher can't help him more individual because there are too many kids and she can't be focussed all time in one.But thank you for hear me, I'm going to talk with the teacher and request test too ,this can be helpfull.

The tests I am referring to are provided to any student suspected of having a learning disability. When you meet with your son's teacher you can ask request that your son be tested. You really need to have a conference to find out what is going on in school. ESOL programs are provided to support children whose primary language is not English. You can ask the teacher about this as well. If you are having difficulty understanding what is being said you can request the school to provide a translator for you as well. The English language can be very confusing - and it can be more complicated when you are trying to understand educational terminology.
Stay in touch!

You need to have a conference with your son's teacher.
Your son might be having a learning issue. You can request that the school do an educational and psychological assessment on your child. Testing should help determine if this is a learning or language (ESOL)
issue. The school must test - at no cost to you.
Why isn't your son receiving ESOL now?
