school district in jacksonville fl?

im looking for a phone number to the school district that is in charge of the schools in jacksonville fl. my family is transferring out there this fall and i need to know what school options we have for our kids. ie do they have to go to the school thats closest to our house, etc? so if anyone could pass that on or even an email for them would be good. thanks for your help!

You go to the school nearest your home unless you request special assignment or attend a magnet school. Special assignments require approval of the principal. Magent schools are by lottery and take place in the spring.
