My son is now in middle school...And had a great experience at Prado Elementary...looking back I considered sending him to Lincoln Alternative School and have continued to hear very good reports about that school as well. The newer schools in the district - Orange & Eisenhower are reported to be on the cuttin edge. I am a former teacher in the distirct, a parent, and involved with the PTA.

Hephatha Lutheran in Anaheim Hills is also a great option and not a difficult drive from Corona. Many of the Hephatha families live in Corona. The kindergarten program is excellent!

Thanks for your time and insightful thoughts. I have heard similar stories from friends. We are now considering a private school for our little one.

Thanks again,
Patricia

My children were in public schools in Corona for six years at Susan B. Anthony. Last year was horrendous because of a couple of truly bad teachers. Anyway, we made the decision to send them to Grace Lutheran. It is a small Christian school on Lincoln. It is truly wonderful. Smaller class sizes, dedicated caring teachers, friendly helpflul parents and kind children. What a difference! With state budget cuts I've heard the restrictions on only 20 kids in k-3 grade in public school could soon be a thing of the past. Class sizes could increase to 35+ like 4th-6th. Very little one on one attention from teachers in a class that size. Believe me, we learned from experience. Go private if at all possible.
