Hi. Your post caught my eye, because I live in Palatine. Unfortunately, Greatschools is a nationwide website and the chance of finding another family from the same town as you, with children of similar age, is slim. As lockmama suggested, your best bet is to call the school district directly, and ask. You might also do a "google search" on "Early Education IL."

I am not in Illinois, so I do not know the answer to your question. May I suggest you contact an elementary school near you too see if they have any suggestions? In my city, there are a few elementary schools that offer preschool services to children of military families and children from low income. Not all elementaries (here) have such a program, but they have arrangements with a school nearby to accept the preschool kids. Hopefully you will find something similar.
