John North High school is a great school. They have AVID and the International Baccalaureate Program. IB is nationally recognized, Colleges recognize this program.

Poly High has some of the best test scores and they compete in a lot of different debates and competitions. The school is kept in good condition and it sits in the "Poly District" which is one of the best areas in the city. King High has race issues as well as drug problems. It may be newly built, but I've never run into anyone who has anything good to say about it.In fact, everyone I talk to transfers their kid out of there to another school. Ramona's building are in poor condition and a close friend of mine had her niece transfer from there to Poly because the girl ran into social issues and the family had had enough. The school sits in a rough area. North also sits in a rough area ... but they do have good test scores. Hope this helps.

I may be partial but I believe Riverside Poly HS is the best choice. They have a great Riverside tradition, parent support, and great standards. JW North HS has a great college prepardness program called the IB Progam and Ramona has the AP Program. These are possibilities if you would like your son or daughter to have a head start at college but both schools are in rough areas. ML King is a newer school that is making name for itself.
