This depends upon whether or not you would like to send your child to private school. Generally, most middle/upper class kids in East Baton Rouge Parish go to public school. There are a few exceptions, some of those public elementary schools include Parkview & Shenandoah Elementary schools. As far as private schools, most common would be any of the Catholic schools or Parkview Baptist. They are the largest/most common.

The other option would be to move to Ascension or Livingston Parishes or to Zachary. They are known for having better public schools and many move there for that reason.

Good luck! I am also in the same boat as far as deciding where to send my son. I have done a lot of research and asking around. We are leaning towards moving to Ascension Parish and sending him to a public elementary.
