trying to choose a school

We are relocating to Virginia , my husband will be working in the midlothian area and we are trying to decide where to settle, we have looked into twin hickory in glenn allen and bettie weaver and woolridge in chesterfield county.. we have 2 elementary and 1 high schooler , we are very concerned about finding the right school for our kids, both academically and socially. Our son has a language delay and will need special services. Any input I receive will be soo helpful.

Have you tried using the "Research and Compare" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page? Unfortunately, it doesn't rate special education programs, but for that, I recommend that parents try to contact support groups for whatever disability your child has, in the local area you want to move to, and network through those parents to find out what are the better schools and other resources in the area. (I know www.chadd.org, which focuses on kids with ADHD, has active chapters in many communities, and those parents often know which schools have better IEP programs.)
