I am resident of Douglasville and love it because it is about 20mins from downtown, 20 mins from airport, and a family friendly suburb with homes that are not on top of each other. The commute to Zoo Atlanta from Douglasville would be less than a half hour if that seems reasonable to you. In Atlanta, that is considered good. There are some neighborhoods closer to the Zoo but it all depends on what you prefer as far as neighborhood, community, price range of house. I plan on moving to the Atlanta area and I am trying to find a area where there are good schools and transportation in the area any suggestions will be freatly appreciated.

Have you tried using the "Research and Compare' feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page, to see what elementary schools are in Atlanta? You might also try using the "Search Community By Keyword" feature that's in the upper right corner of this page, and look for previous conversations about Atlanta.
