Choosing a great academic private school for my 2y.o.

CONCERNEDMOMMY
My 2yo daughter attends Sheridan Hills Christian School. Although I am very happy with the loving attention the teachers provide I am concerned she is not learing enough academicly. I am very interested in finding a school that can provide both.

Rainbow Montesorri School in Hollywood is a very special and wonderful experience for sponge-like minds. This is a word of mouth school that is so worth checking out. My son had his kindergarten year there which set him up for a brilliant academic future. He is in gifted in the 7th grade now, and I know so much came from that kindergarten experience.

My 2 year old boy is in Sheridal Hiils Christian, he is still new there, for the summer program. You are right about the teachers, they give loving attention to the kids. I have not decided yet if he is going there for the school year, do you mind telling me more about the academics and school by you experience?

I'm sorry but I don't believe in paying so much money for a private school when all they learn is about god.Public school gets better education then a private school I work in the after school care and the children there was not as smart as the once in public school.Enroll her to Miami Gardens Infant and Preschool 190 N.E 191st Street for the best education and learning experience.

I think it's a mistake to push formal academics on toddlers/preschoolers. If you have found a nurturing daycare, that is worth far more at this stage than a program which has formal academic goals. Young children gain more from having opportunities to explore the world around them, whether it's from helping you to cook (recipes are great to expose kids to math & fractions) or helping plant flowers in the garden and look at different insects (science) or taking a trip to the library and selecting books of her own chosing (reading) or drawing notecards for people in a nursing home (art) or whatever... There is no need to focus on "seatwork."
