We are renting in the DC metro area. Can you please recommend public schools in the surrounding area (VA MD)

We recently moved to the DC metro area. We are currently renting, but looking to buy a home. We would like to buy a home with great public schools, so our kids can attend, but also for resale purposes in case we have to move in the next few years. We are willing to look at places in VA and MD, but do not won't a horrible commute as my husband works downtown.

We are in a similar situation and have been steered to Fairfax Co, VA for quality of schools in the area.

Have you tried using the "Research and Compare" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page? You can enter various locations and the grade level of schools you're interested in, to see how they rate, and see parent comments and other details....
