Unfortunately, Greatschools is a nationwide forum, and the chance of finding another person from a particular town, with a child roughly the same age and with a similar learning challenge, is slim. I have a son with LD's, and I know that even if the diagnosis is the same, every child is different. My advice is to try and contact an autism parents support group in Austin (I'm not sure if www.theArc.org has a chapter, but they have a good reputation for helping kids with autism in my state) and network through those parents to find out what the best schools and other resources are, in that local area.
